Rap star Kanye West said he still plans to consider running for president in six years.
During an interview Thursday with Power 92 Chicago's DJ Pharris, West said he's not joking about a White House bid.
West simply said "2024" when Pharris asked him about running for the White House.
"If I decide to do it, it will be done. I'm not gonna try," West said.
In terms of what West could bring to the Oval Office, he pointed to his success running a business that's worth nearly $2 billion.
"When I run, I'm not gonna [expletive] up the money" West said. "And what I like about being the founder of a… $1.8 billion company, is this is awesome training because America is a company.
"You should not be president unless you ran a multi-billion dollar business, in my opinion."
West has ruffled feathers in the black community and in Hollywood by expressing his support for President Donald Trump. The two met after Trump won the presidency in 2016 and West has tweeted and talked about Trump on numerous occasions.
Earlier this year, West raised eyebrows by tweeting "2024," which created a buzz that he was pondering a White House run.
