President Joe Biden chimed in during Wednesday night's Republican presidential primary debate to applaud Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for condemning former President Donald Trump.
"Couldn't agree more," Biden's X account posted at 9:28 p.m. ET, sharing the Biden campaign account's trolling of Trump for not participating in the debate.
Biden has been critical of Trump and DeSantis, the top two potential challengers for the White House in the 2024 election. When DeSantis chided Trump for being "missing in action," Biden posted his agreement.
"DeSantis: '[Donald Trump] owes it to you to defend his record where they added 7.8 trillion to the debt," the Biden-Harris HQ campaign account posted on X. "That set the stage for the inflation that we have now."
Biden did not mention that DeSantis' attack on Trump included criticism of Biden, too.
DeSantis said Biden is "completely missing in action from leadership, and you know who else is missing in action? Donald Trump is missing in action."
But Biden's sharing of that 9:27 p.m. ET campaign tweet had some media claiming it showed Biden was engaged in what the Republican Party was debating.
That one brief tweet approving of DeSantis chiding Trump was all Newsmax could find on Biden's X account regarding the debate Wednesday night.
