Whispers of an impending announcement that former Vice President Joe Biden will toss his hat in the ring for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination have reached all the way to the West Wing and into the Oval Office.

CNBC is reporting the prospect of a Biden candidacy came up Monday during a private White House meeting with President Trump and his top advisers.
