News channel TruNews, which once pronounced the impeachment of President Donald Trump a “Jew coup,” was banned from YouTube on Thursday.
The boot from the social media platform was for TruNews’ repeated violation of YouTube’s rules regarding hate speech, Newsweek reported.
The news was announced in a tweet by the channel.
TruNews was founded by Rick Wiles, pastor of the Flowing Springs Church in Vero Springs, Florida, which aims to appeal to conservative Christians. The site, which includes an accompanying radio show and streaming video news program, describes itself as "the world's leading news source that reports, analyzes, and comments on global events and trends with a conservative, orthodox Christian worldview."
According to Newsweek, a video removed from YouTube in November 2019 was later reported by several media outlets, including The New York Times, and featured Wiles’ claim the House impeachment of Trump was a "Jew coup" that could lead to "civil war" by Christmas time.
"That's the way the Jews work,” Wiles said in the video. "They are deceivers. They plot, they lie, they do whatever they have to do to accomplish their political agenda. This impeach Trump movement is a Jew coup."
Newsweek reported TruNews also had slammed former President Barack Obama's attempts to fight ISIS while praising Russia, claiming that Obama was secretly a Muslim and that "God is on [Russian President Vladimir] Putin's side."
In a Jan. 27 broadcast, Wiles called the coronavirus God's “death angel,” insisting it would reap divine retribution for China's "Godless communist government," before moving on to wreak havoc on American society, Newsweek reported.
