ISIS Issues Fake Image of DC Church Inferno and Warns 'Soon'

The Islamic State has released an unnerving image of a prominent United States church in flames along with a message hinting than an attack could occur on Christmas Day.

The poster shows an armed ISIS terrorist standing in front of the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., with the church in flames.

In an accompanying message, the group chillingly states: "Wait for us. We meet at Christmas in New York... soon.”

The Washington landmark isn’t the only building that appears to be in the Islamic State’s crosshairs.

ISIS also released an image of a masked man at Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Germany and says it plans to "burn" Christmas markets there, The Daily Mail reports.

A third photo, The Mail says, shows an ISIS follower walking towards a man dressed as Father Christmas, along.

The Islamic State has made numerous threats against Christian holidays over the years.
