New Book to Analyze Hillary's Tenure as Secretary of State

A new book about Hillary Clinton's time at the State Department is set to be published as speculation swirls that the former secretary of state will run for president in 2016.

A follow-up to a best-selling book on Clinton's tenure as secretary is set to be published by Crown Publishers later this year, according to The Hill.

The book will be written by The Hill's senior White House correspondent, Amie Parnes, and Bloomberg's Jonathan Allen, who also authored "HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton" earlier this year. The publication date and title of the sequel have not yet been announced.

"HRC" analyzed Clinton's time as the nation's top diplomat. The sequel will do more of the same while also assessing Clinton's prospects in 2016.

The sequel will follow Clinton's own account of her time in the State Department, due out June 10, according to The Associated Press, citing a Simon & Schuster website. That as-yet unnamed book will share "candid reflections about key moments during her time" as secretary, according to the website.

The memoir will be Clinton's second. She authored her first, "Living History," in 2003.

Publishing autobiographies has become standard for presidential hopefuls in recent years, and Clinton appears to be no exception, according to Bloomberg.  She reiterated last week that she is considering running for office, but has not yet made a final decision.
