A Florida man on Sunday was arrested after firing several shots inside a bar. Patrons restrained the man before anyone was seriously injured, The New York Post reports.

The suspect, 30-year-old Connor Anderson, allegedly took out a gun and placed it to a woman's head during a dispute over misplaced car keys. He opened fire but other patrons at the bar struggled with the man as he shot about six times before being forced to the floor.

The suspect managed to get free before running into a nearby parking lot where he was cornered by local sheriff's deputies responding to the incident.

Anderson faces six counts of shooting or throwing deadly missiles, as well as charges of aggravated assault, battery, using a firearm while under the influence of alcohol, and the improper exhibition of a firearm. Bond was set at $542,000 and Anderson reportedly remains imprisoned as of Tuesday afternoon.

"It is amazing this dirtbag did not kill or seriously injure anyone during his moment of rage over something as small as his car keys," Sheriff Rick Staly said in a statement. "Violence is never the answer and alcohol and guns never mix well."

He went on to praise the patrons who intervened, saying, "I also commend the patrons that intervened and immediately called us. Putting themselves in danger in this case saved many lives."
