CAIRO, Jan 29 (Reuters) - At least five protesters were wounded by police on Saturday when they tried to storm Egypt's Interior Ministry, security sources told Reuters.
Al Jazeera television earlier reported that three people had been killed. There was no official confirmation.
Witnesses told a Reuters reporter at the scene the five protesters had been wounded by police who fired at the crowd. It was not immediately clear whether they used live ammunition or rubber bullets.
Outside the ministry, the crowd were trying to setting fire to government vehicles and the street was strewn with glass and debris.
