Eric Trump Defends Father's 'Executive Time'

By    |   Tuesday, 05 February 2019 10:38 AM EST

President Donald Trump’s son, Eric, on Tuesday pushed back on a report from Axios that says that the president spends most of his day in unstructured “Executive Time.”

“My father is the hardest working man in my life. No one knows him in this world as well as I do,” Eric Trump said on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday morning.

“Those Axios people, you should have seen them on the campaign trail, where none of the reporters could keep up with my father, who was double their ages,” he continued. “They are drinking Red Bull and Monster Energy drinks sleeping in the corner, while he was doing his 7th rally of the day.”

Axios launched in 2017, the year after Trump was elected president.

“The problem is Washington is so incompetent,” Eric Trump added. “He never left, he hasn’t left the White House in five weeks!”

The president actually spent part of last weekend at his Palm Beach golf club, Mar-a-Lago.

“Let’s have a great legal system,” he added. “Our legal system of immigration is broken too. No one ever wants to talk about it. Why don’t we have an incredible legal system? Why don’t we stop the illegal immigration?”
