House Majority Leader Eric Cantor said 125,000 new jobs need to be created every month to keep up with increases in the U.S. population — and President Barack Obama isn’t getting it done.
“The reality is, if 7.9-percent unemployment . . . if that is satisfactory to you, then this is acceptable, this Obama administration’s performance,” Cantor said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “What I will tell you, from the folks that I meet, it is totally unacceptable. This is not good enough for us in America.”
Cantor said Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has a plan in place to put Americans back to work and reinvigorate the economy.
“All we hear from the president is negative attacks and no solutions,” he said. “This is the difference. Mitt Romney has provided an actual plan of how to get jobs going again in America.”
