Dunkin’ Donuts is seeking to lure health-conscious diners with a new menu of low-calorie, low-fat items.
The menu features a new turkey sausage and egg-white flatbread sandwich and a vegetable egg-white sandwich. Both have fewer than 300 calories and 9 grams of fat or less, Yahoo! News reports.
The DDSmart menu will include all new items — as well as current offerings such as the multigrain bagel and reduced-fat blueberry muffin — that either have 25 percent fewer calories, sugar, fat or sodium than comparable products, or contain ingredients that are “nutritionally beneficial,” the company said.
Will Kussell, president and chief brand officer, declared: “We felt it was important to provide some choice in our menu.”
