President-elect Donald Trump's two adult sons are running a nonprofit that is offering close access to him in exchange for pricey donations the day after his inauguration next month.
According to the Center for Public Integrity, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump are two of the four people running the nonprofit called the Opening Day Foundation. Several donation levels offer various types of access to Trump and his sons at the "Opening Day 2017" event.
The brochure for the event, scheduled for Jan. 21, shows that a donation of $1 million is called the "Bald Eagle" and includes, among other things, a "private reception and photo opportunity for 16 guests with President Donald J. Trump" and an "Elite Hunter's Package" that involves a "multi-day hunting and/or fishing excursion for 4 guests with Donald Trump Jr. and/or Eric Trump, and team."
The other donation levels are the Grizzly Bear ($500,000), Elk ($250,000), Marlin ($100,000), Rainbow Trout ($50,000), and Wild Turkey ($25,000).
A note at the bottom of the brochure says, "All net proceeds from the Opening Day event will be donated to conservation charities."
The event takes place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The address is redacted on the brochure, but an Internet search reveals it is located in Washington, D.C.
Alabama and Toby Keith are scheduled to perform, according to the brochure.
