President Donald Trump on Tuesday confirmed that a list exists of various government officials who are considered not loyal enough to Trump and are set to be replaced, Axios reports.

“I don’t think it's a big problem. I don’t think it's very many people,” the president said at a press conference in India.

Axios’ Jonathan Swan reported last Sunday that the White House and its allies have assembled multiple lists detailing “disloyal government officials to oust — and trusted pro-Trump people to replace them.”

Trump said on Tuesday that he wants “people who are good for the country, loyal to the country.”

Unnamed aides told Axios that Trump is convinced that his administration is filled with “snakes,” a part of what he’s repeatedly called the “Deep State,” that he wants fired and replaced. He reportedly instructed his new White House personnel chief to meet with the liaisons for cabinet agencies and asked for them to identify any political appointees in the federal government who are thought to be anti-Trump, according to Axios.

Trump recently ousted multiple officials, including Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who testified in his impeachment inquiry, following his acquittal.
