That the political crisis in Venezuela could be a decisive factor enabling President Trump to carry Florida and recapture the presidency is emerging as one of the strangest twists of the 2020 cycle.

Trump has been unwavering in his hardline stance against Nicolas Maduro's socialist government. Strategists note that nearly 200,000 residents of Florida, a state that boasts 29 Electoral College ballots, are of Venezuelan heritage.
