Dolly Parton is clearing up speculation that she had her breasts insured.
The rumors have been circulating for years. In 2010 it was reported that the country music legend had insured her reported 40DD breasts for $600,000, but in an interview with "Today," Parton explained that it was a misconception that stems from a comment she made years back about insuring her legs.
"It's not true about that," Parton said. "Years ago, was it Betty Grable, or one of the great famous stars that was famous also for her legs. And at that time I said, 'Well maybe I should get my boobs insured since I'm famous for them,' but it was just a joke. I didn't do that."
The topic came in the wake of Heidi Klum's revelation that a client insured her legs for $2 million. Commenting on this, Parton cheekily pointed out, "You can get new boobs, but you can't get new legs."
Last week Parton celebrated her 76th birthday with a throwback shot on Instagram in her "birthday suit," which was a pink silk jacket and skirt. Parton said she spent the day with her husband of 55 years, Carl Dean, and "ate a lot of cake."
Commenting on her marriage, Parton added that they liked to have fun as a couple.
"We're good people; we're fun people; we both have a great sense of humor; and we like and respect each other," she said. "And we just have fun. And I stay gone enough to keep it new."
A year prior, in the days leading up to her 75th birthday, Parton revealed that she wanted to pose for Playboy magazine again in celebration of the big day.
"Yeah, I just might do it, if I can do it in good taste and they want it. We'll do it along with a really good interview inside," Parton said on the "Scott Mills and Chris Stark" show, according to Daily Mail. "So, yeah, we've talked about it."
The "Jolene" hitmaker first appeared in Playboy's October 1978 issue and said it would be a "hoot" to do another shoot.
"Well, I don't plan to retire," Parton said in an interview with "60 Minutes Australia," earlier this year, adding that she hoped to be on the cover of the magazine.
"See, I did Playboy magazine years ago. I thought it would be such a hoot, if they'll go for it," she said. "I don't know if they will — if I could be on the cover again when I'm 75."
