Dick Morris: Obama Wants to Turn US Into Japan, Mexico

By    |   Wednesday, 24 September 2014 01:09 PM EDT

In his effort to create a one-party system, President Barack Obama effectively wants to turn the United States into a country more like Japan or Mexico, says veteran political analyst Dick Morris.

"We've always been looking at Obama's power grab, which is self-evident — the executive orders, the regulations, the unilateral assumption of power," Morris told J.D. Hayworth on "America's Forum" on Newsmax TV Wednesday.

"We began to ask, 'Why is he doing this? What's the end game?'" he explained. "It's not that he wants socialized medicine, it's not that he wants European socialism, it's far more venal than that."

"Obama wants to change the United States into something like Japan or Mexico or Argentina or Taiwan," he said.

"All four countries were one-party democracies for 70 years," the former political adviser to former President Bill Clinton explained.

"Just one party won and the other was a minor little yappy dog that couldn't control anything," Morris said. "That's his vision."

In the United States, "[Obama] wants to stack the deck so that no Republican or conservative can ever win an election," he told Steve Malzberg on Newsmax TV Tuesday.

"Everything he's doing is designed to give his party and his faction and his ideology political dominance," he said Wednesday.

"If he were doing it by persuading people that he's right, that would be understandable, that would be fine," he explained. "But he's using dirty pool to do it."

Morris told Newsmax that Obama is doing this by "stacking the national electorate by letting all kinds of immigrants in from South and Latin America and from Muslim countries who he knows will vote Democrat and will ratify his agenda."

"If he can't get them registered legally, he's committing massive voter fraud and stopping photo ID that could catch it," he said. "He's making sure that the judiciary are his hand-picked guys — not subject to any controversial confirmation because there's no filibuster and they just ratify and rubber stamp whatever he's trying to do."

During the Wednesday interview with the host of "The Steve Malzberg Show," he argued that Obama is pro-Muslim and wants to see Muslims become a larger voting bloc, which Democrats can capitalize on.

However, "the most insidious is that he's trying to extend his program of entitlements to everybody so they all have skin in the game to vote for his people."

The political analyst points to healthcare as the "most significant" entitlement implemented by Obama.

"If he can make it so that the only way you can get your healthcare is by being in with the right political party and getting that party to like you and getting favors done for you and getting the programs in place for you, then he'll have functional control over people throughout the country and add to that those who are into entitlements and food stamps, disability," he added.

Morris details these ideas further in the book he coauthored with his wife, Eileen McGann, "Power Grab: Obama's Dangerous Plan for a One-Party Nation," which was released Tuesday.
