The upcoming July 4th “Salute to America” celebration will end with the longest display of fireworks in the capital after two of the largest pyrotechnics companies in the country made donations.

“We’re gearing up for what I think we can safely say without hyperbole is going to be the biggest fireworks show that D.C. has seen,” National Park Service spokesman Mike Litterst told the Washington Examiner’s Washington Secrets.

The Department of the Interior confirmed that Phantom Fireworks and Fireworks by Grucci donated a second fireworks display, which is set to follow the traditional display from Garden State Fireworks. Phantom donated the fireworks, while Grucci is handling the event display. The second display is set to last for 15-20 minutes, and the donation is valued at $750,000.

Litterst referred back to the country’s bicentennial celebration on July 4, 1976, saying that “this is going to eclipse that tremendously.”

"At Phantom Fireworks, we pride ourselves in being the leading retailer of consumer fireworks in the United States, and we want to deliver amazing shows that Americans can be proud of and we feel welcomed to participate in this year’s festivities in partnership with our good friends from Fireworks by Grucci," said Phantom President and CEO Bruce J. Zoldan.

“We are grateful for the generous donation from Fireworks by Grucci and Phantom Fireworks to celebrate America. This is going to be the greatest Fourth of July since the original, with increased access across the National Mall for the public to enjoy music, flyovers, and a spectacular fireworks display,” added Interior Secretary David Bernhardt.
