Low Hospitalization Rate is Better Measure of COVID Spread

Public health experts say hospitalization rates provide a better metric than daily case counts for understanding the pandemic, with coronavirus patients occupying only about 5% of total U.S. hospital bed space and 12% of ICU capacity, according to the Department of Health and Human Services.
