Americans who are considering voting for the Democratic Party in the upcoming election, owe it to themselves to know exactly for whom they are voting.
When it comes to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, what they will find are two candidates with dangerous ties to terrorists and anti-American radicals.
My family understands the danger of the terror threat having endured its reality — twice. I was 9 and my brother Tom 11 when our father, Frank Connor, 33, was killed in the Jan. 24, 1975, lunchtime bombing of Fraunces Tavern in New York City. In 1999, the Clintons pardoned the unrepentant Puerto Rican Armed Forces of National Liberation (FALN) terrorist bombers who proudly claimed responsibility for our father’s death.
Our cousin and father’s god son, Steve Schlag, was killed on 9/11 in his office at the World Trade Center as my brother Tom and I helplessly witnessed the attacks from our respective downtown offices only blocks from Fraunces Tavern and the twin towers. Steve was 41, a husband and proud father of three young children. Our family remains disgusted by reports of the Clintons’ refusal to instruct U.S. forces to capture or kill Osama bin Laden.
Ties That Blind
A closer look at Clinton and Obama reveals a disturbing interconnection between the two Democratic candidates and a web of terrorists and radical groups dating back to the late 1960s. The relationships are as intertwined as they are astounding and chilling.
Obama, through his relationship with Weather Underground member William Ayers and the United Church of Christ, also connects to the FALN and via this intricate web of radicals to groups such as the May 19th Communist Organization (formed from splintered Weather Underground members; named for the May 19 birthdates of both Ho Chi Minh and Malcolm X).
Clinton has direct connections to FALN, the most prolific terrorist group in U.S. history; Weather Underground, the same group connected to Obama; and the Black Panthers, as well as indirect connections to others.
Americans deserve a full accounting of the candidates’ relationships with radical anti Americans. Presidents’ security and loyalty bona fides should be above reproach.
All of these radical groups were part of a largely Cuban-trained militia that conspired to terrorize America in the 1960s, ‘70s, and ‘80s.
As Jay Nordlinger put it in his March 19, 2001, article in National Review Online, “. . . all such outfits worked together, in an alliance of terror: the May 19th Communist Organization, the Black Liberation Army (composed largely of former Black Panthers), the Red Guerrilla Resistance, the Republic of New Afrika, and so on.”
Dangerous Presidential Pardons
For those who may not remember, during their co-presidency, the Clintons' pardoned 16 remorseless Puerto Rican FALN terrorists who attacked New York, Chicago and Puerto Rico with over 130 bombings during the ‘70s and '80s including the bombing that killed my father and three other innocent men in New York.
Incredibly, the FALN never even requested clemency; it was proactively given to them by the Clintons. Further, the Clinton administration tellingly met with FALN supporters prior to the grants but ignored their victims and family members.
The pardoned terrorists proved their allegiance to their cause; the over throw of the U.S. government and the “freeing” of Puerto Rico by refusing for 30 days to accept the terms of the grants which included the renunciation of violence for political purposes.
Ultimately two of the terrorists remained so committed to their cause that they refused the Clintons’ release, choosing to remain in prison.
The Clintons also granted pardons to Susan Rosenberg and Linda Sue Evans, two purported Weather Underground members.
Rosenberg is believed to have provided surveillance and drove the getaway car during the 1981 Brinks armored car robbery in Nanuet, N.Y. in which two police officers and a Brink’s guard were killed.
Evans was sentenced for conspiracy and malicious destruction in connection with eight bombings between 1983 and 1985, including the bombing of The Capitol Building.
Trail of Shame
Former FBI special agent Rick Hahn whose investigations lead to the conviction of the FALN members for various crimes including explosives violations outlines the connection between the FALN, Weather Underground and the lesser known May 19th Communist Organization.
He says Marilyn Buck, a Black Liberation Army leader, was convicted for her participation in the 1981 Brinks armored car robbery with purported Weather Underground members Rosenberg and Weather fugitive Kathy Boudin.
Buck was also convicted for her role in the 1979 prison break of Black Panther Jo Anne Chesimard who was convicted of the 1973 murder of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster.
Buck also participated in breaking out convicted FALN bomb maker William Morales in 1979. Morales had blown off parts of his hands in the FALN’s safe house/bomb lab in 1978 in New York.
The Brinks’ investigation led to May 19th Communist Organization member Sylvia Baraldini, who in turn revealed another link to the FALN.
Investigators found an exact carbon copy of a FALN communiqué that claimed credit for bombings on Feb 28, 1982, as well as folders marked “FALN” and “Morales,” in Baraldini’s Manhattan apartment. Notably, Baraldini’s apartment was only blocks away from the phone booth where the original communiqué was left for the press.
The common denominator between these terror groups was none other than Castro’s Cuba.
The New York Times on October 9, 1977, quoted a 1976 top-secret FBI report that some Weathermen were Cuban agents, receiving weaponry instruction from Cuban intelligence and, after going “underground” abroad received help in illegally re-entering the United States.
Obama friend William Ayers’ wife and fellow Weatherman, Bernadine Dohrn reportedly met in Cuba with representatives of the Vietcong in 1968 and 1969 as the communist states tried to direct the anti war movement in the US.
Dohrn has also been linked to the assembly of criminals who committed the Brinks robbery, as she was suspected of supplying them with false identification obtained from clients at a shop in which she worked.
Like the FALN, the Weathermen have shown no remorse for their crimes. Ironically, on Sept. 11, 2001, The New York Times published a quote by Obama friend, William Ayers, “I don’t regret setting bombs,” and “I feel we didn’t do enough.”
Only days after his release by the Clintons, FALN member Ricardo Jimenez expressed his lack of remorse on “Meet the Press.”
Russert asked, “If you, in fact, are part of an organization . . . that sets off 130 bombs, isn’t there a strong possibility that innocent people are going to be hurt and killed?” To which Jimenez replied, “No, no. If precautions were taken . . . to make sure that all human life was preserved, and in the end measures were not taken that were necessary by the people who owned those establishments . . . And, no, we have never, never been in our objective to terrorize people.”
I watched this surreal interview live that Sunday morning as this thug blamed the restaurant for my father’s death. This person was actually pardoned by the Clintons!
Hillary, as described in Chris Andersen’s “American Evita,” sympathized with the caustic Black Panther cause during her days at Yale Law School.
Yale law professor Thomas Emerson introduced Hillary to famed radical lawyer Charles Garry, a member of the Black Panther defense team, and soon her band of student watchdogs were feeding whatever information they gleaned directly to the Black Panther attorneys. In later years Hillary would take pains never to mention her friendship with Garry, whose clients included People’s Temple founder Jim Jones and Angela Davis as well as (Huey) Newton and (Bobby) Seale.”
Dick Morris had this to say about Hillary’s lurid connections: "Her relationship with terrorists began in the mid-1980s when she served on the board of the New World Foundation, which gave funds to the Palestine Liberation Organization, at a time when the PLO was officially recognized by the U.S. government as a terrorist organization.
“Among these radical groups was the American Muslim Council and the Council on American-Islamic Relations, both groups that support Hamas and attended a White House reception hosted by Hillary in February, 1996.”
Terrorism expert Steve Emerson noted in The Wall Street Journal that, "[The American Muslim Council] leaders have sanctioned terrorism, published anti-Semitic statements, and repeatedly hosted conferences that were forums for denunciations of Jews and exhortations to wage jihad."
The Vitriol of the Rev. Wright
Obama and the Rev. Wright’s Chicago church, the Trinity United Church of Christ, is a member of the national United Church of Christ (UCC) who supported the FALN.
After her release from prison by the Clintons, Alejandrina Torres, the wife of a Chicago based UCC minister and step-mother of FALN leader Carlos Torres, was honored by UCC President John Thomas and Linda Jaramillo, the UCC’s executive minister of the Justice and Witness Ministries.
In her introduction of Torres to the audience, Jaramillo bestowed lavish praise on this convicted FALN member (caught on FBI surveillance tapes building bombs!) for her "courage and for being a role model."

Though her words have not yet been reported, the same Linda Jaramillo was expected just this week May 4, 2008, to offer expressions of the UCC’s wider support for Wright at the Trinity UCC.
The parent UCC campaigned for the Clintons' 1999 FALN pardons. The UCC's Church House in Cleveland even proudly displayed FALN leaders’ Carlos Torres and Oscar Rivera's artwork.
Lastly, and perhaps most astonishingly, Steven Guerra, a FALN recruiter who chose a three-year prison sentence for contempt over testifying with immunity against his FALN comrades, is paid $120,000 per year in tax payer money as Department of Human Services associate director of community health/prevention in Barack Obama’s home state of Illinois.
The once patriotic Democratic Party of FDR, Truman, and Kennedy has been hijacked by anti American sympathizers and those who lack the judgment or courage to separate themselves from radical elements.
No matter your feelings for John McCain's stance on certain issues, one thing is clear. He is a man of character who fought for and believes in the goodness and greatness of our country.
While young Lt. McCain was enduring five years of torture inside a POW camp in Hanoi, refusing to leave his men when his captors offered him the opportunity to go home, these radicals were actively attacking the United States.
I am not a pundit but an ordinary American with a family who has seen and felt terror more than most and understands there is nothing more important than protecting our families.
When it’s time to cast your vote for president, think of Obama’s and Clinton’s “3 a.m.” commercials and ask yourself who you would trust to look out for you and your family when it comes to terrorism and threats to our country.
Will you choose a lifelong champion of our great nation or a candidate who aligned himself or herself with proven haters of America?
