Hillary Clinton's campaign went into full attack mode Saturday, telling reporters in a conference call that FBI Director James Comey is being "light on facts" and "heavy on innuendo" with his announcement of additional evidence in the case against Clinton and her use of a private e-mail server while she was secretary of state.

"We're not going to be distracted, and Hillary's not going to be distracted in the final days of this election over nothing," Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta said according to CNN

Podesta further said Comey wasn't being "forthcoming with the facts" concerning the e-mails, which were discovered while the FBI was investigating sexting allegations against former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner, the estranged husband of Clinton confidante and aide Huma Abedin.

Comey made the announcement Friday about the new emails, saying they appear to be "pertinent" to the investigation into the Democratic nominee's private server, even though that probe has been closed for months.

Podesta also slammed Comey for the timing of his announcement, made just 11 days before the Nov. 8 election, and accused him of sending a letter to congressional leaders Friday that only provided "selective information."

Campaign manager Robby Mook said during the conference call that the FBI is now interfering with the election.

"The Justice Department's longstanding practice is 'don't do anything seen as trying to influence an election,'" Mook said, calling the action "completely unfair to Secretary Clinton" and to the voters.
