Former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura dropped by Mitt Romney’s campaign headquarters in Boston to give the Republican nominee’s staffers some encouragement,
ABC News reported.
Bush, along with former President Bill Clinton, is in Boston to speak at the Global Business Travel Association’s annual convention. Romney’s wife Ann introduced the Bushes and Romney’s staff responded with huge applause, according to ABC News. Bush praised Romney’s campaign and told staffers to “seize the moment,” ABC News reported.
Romney was not at the headquarters during the visit because he was preparing to speak at the Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in Reno, Nev.
In May, Bush tepidly endorsed Romney, uttering, "I'm for Mitt Romney," as the doors of his elevator shut. But Romney's campaign doesn't foresee the 43rd president playing a substantive role in the race.
