Demand Justice, a liberal advocacy group, is launching a campaign to get Justice Brett Kavanaugh fired from a George Mason University summer teaching post, The Washington Times is reporting.
The group is set to run a digital ad on Facebook calling on the university to stop Kavanaugh from teaching a summer course for the school in England.
The ad says it is “unacceptable” for the school to hire an “accused sexual assaulter.”
And it states: “We’re calling on the university to terminate his contract immediately.”
Claims of sexual misconduct had threatened to derail Kavanaugh’s confirmation in September, though he was ultimately confirmed after a contentious series of hearings. He has denied all wrongdoing.
The school, in a statement posted on its website., acknowledged it has received “a number of complaints about our law school’s decision to recruit U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who will co-teach a class in England this summer.”
It added: “But he was confirmed (by the Senate) and is now a sitting justice.”
