Britain's Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson reportedly gushed Thursday he is becoming an admirer of President Donald Trump, and believes there is a "method in his madness."

In a leaked audio excerpt from an appearance at the Institute of Directors in London — obtained by BuzzFeed News — Johnson praises Trump's brash negotiating tactics.

"I am increasingly admiring of Donald Trump," Johnson says in the excerpt, BuzzFeed reported. "I have become more and more convinced that there is method in his madness."

"Imagine Trump doing Brexit," he says in the excerpt, BuzzFeed reported. "He'd go in bloody hard . . . There'd be all sorts of breakdowns, all sorts of chaos. Everyone would think he'd gone mad. But actually, you might get somewhere. It's a very, very good thought."

Trump's first official visit as president to the U.K. is planned for July, and will include a meeting between Trump and British Prime Minister Theresa May, who have clashed on issues, including trade and terrorism.
