We live in an age of perhaps the most intense political sparring the nation has ever seen, with sharp lines separating Democrats and Republicans. The national political dialogue frequently devolves into less-than-eloquent name calling and worse. The media often appears to pick a side and the conservative message is often lost.

"The media universe has become much more fractured than it used to be," presidential historian Michael Beschloss told The Washington Post. He noted that writing a book provides the opportunity for a candidate to "reach a potentially significant audience in his or her exact words."

A book presents the chance for the author to present arguments, ideology, theories, and more without the clutter and confusion of other forms of communication. Newsmax has selected the 10 best books by Republican politicians, and while some are written by the greatest names in the history of the party others have authors who did not achieve as much politically but still had a powerful message.

All of these books deliver important information, some shed light on the greatness of important Republican politician and others give great insight into our times.

Here are Newsmax’s 10 best books by Republican politicians:.
