Billy Graham's Son-in-Law in ICU After Found in Pool at Home
From the Anne Graham Lotz Facebook page on Tuesday: Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and messages over the past 12 hours. As of now Danny Lotz, Anne’s husband, is still in the hospital in ICU. There is no further update or information available at this time. The family appreciates your continued prayers as they wait and trust in the Lord.

Billy Graham's son-in-law, Dr. Daniel "Danny" Lotz, was found unresponsive in his swimming pool on Monday afternoon in Raleigh, North Carolina.

"He is currently in a hospital ICU receiving excellent care," Graham's daughter, Anne Graham Lotz, wrote in a Facebook post that same day. "There are no answers yet as to the outcome. The family is standing firm in faith, trusting Jesus. Thank you for your prayers."

In another Facebook update Tuesday morning, she reconfirmed that her husband, 78, was in the ICU, saying, "There is no further update or information available at this time."

Capt. Jimmy Stevens with the Wake County Sheriff’s Office told WBTV-TV that responders were called to a home around 3:45 p.m.

Jim Young, who is a Graham family friend, said Lotz had on occasion suffered diabetic seizures, but was unsure if it played a part in the apparent near-drowning.

Lotz, a former dentist in the Raleigh area, helped lead his UNC Chapel Hill basketball team to victory in the NCAA National Championship in 1957. For the past 30 years, he's led a large Bible study group every Friday in Raleigh, where his wife Anne founded AnGeL Ministries.
