Biden: Bring On Rematch With Trump

President Joe Biden on Wednesday said to bring on a rematch with Donald Trump.

"I'm not predicting it, but I would not be disappointed," Biden told a local Israeli TV outlet in an interview when asked about the potential for a rematch with the former president.

"The one thing I know about politics — and American politics in particular — is there's no way to predict what's going to happen. I'm not even halfway through my term yet, and so there's a lot of room to figure out what's going to happen."

Biden arrived in Israel on Wednesday to kick off a Middle East visit focused on trying to slow Iran’s nuclear program, improving relations with Saudi Arabia and getting oil to American gas pumps amid a surge in prices.

Trump has long hinted at a third consecutive White House bid and has campaigned for much of the past year but has not made an official announcement, though political strategist Dick Morris on Wednesday told Newsmax that Trump is "clearly running."

"He can't say he is because of the campaign's finances," Morris said. "It means the money he spends on his rallies comes out of his TV ads and he doesn't want to do that."

Morris said the former president is "fine" with him disclosing his plans, as he "likes to spread the word. He's not one of those guys that hides it."

Biden, who turns 80 in November, says he plans to run again. But many Democrats are irked with that decision, and some are jostling for position ahead of 2024.

Biden on Tuesday pushed back against that speculation, claiming there’s plenty of intra-party support for his reelection bid.

"[Democrats] want me to run," Biden said Tuesday night when asked about his 2024 plans at the end of the White House's Congressional Picnic.

Biden then added, "Read the polls. You [reporters] are all the same. That poll showed that 92% of Democrats, if I ran, would vote for me."
