Sitcom-Style Campaign Ad Casts Netanyahu as 'Bibi-Sitter'

By    |   Monday, 02 February 2015 04:48 PM EST

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is up for re-election in March, and his latest campaign ad takes a humorous look at a serious issue in the campaign – the safety of Israel's children.

The ad uses Netanyahu's popular nickname "Bibi" to cast him as a couple's babysitter or Bibi-sitter while they go out for date night.

When the astonished couple asks whether the prime minister is really going to take care of their children, Netanyahu answers, "Look, it's either me or Tzipi or Buji."

Tziporah "Tzipi" Livni and Isaac "Buji" Herzog are running together against Netanyahu and say they will rotate the premiership if they win.
