The terrorists who killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans in Benghazi will be brought justice — even if it takes years, former Ambassador-at-Large Daniel Benjamin says.
"We have a pretty good record of finding people who are behind attacks against Americans," Benjamin told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"American officials don’t forget these things and they keep after them. Sometimes cases go cold for a while, but they never give up."

Benjamin, who was coordinator for counterterrorism at the State Department under Hillary Clinton, said the 1985 hijacking of TWA flight 847 by members of Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad, was doggedly probed until arrests were made decades later.
And most of those involved in the deadly East African embassy bombings in 1998, in which hundreds were killed, were also tracked down over the years.
"We do the same with every terrorist that we have knowledge of that's been involved in an attack against the U.S," said Benjamin, director of Dartmouth’s John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding.
He said he disagreed with those who believe the Obama Administration has attempted to cover-up the true facts behind the Benghazi attack because of alleged mistakes made in keeping the American embassy secure.
"The Accountability Review Board, led by former chairmen of the joint chiefs [Michael] Mullen and Thomas Pickering, probably the most distinguished diplomat of the last quarter century, looked deeply into these things and answered a lot of these questions," Benjamin said.
"An awful lot of investigations have gone on into this. I don't think there's any indication that anything is being kept secret anymore."
