If Charlie Duke, the 10th and youngest of the dozen men to walk on the moon, ever revisited the desolate Descartes highlands he strolled in 1972, he'd find his 50-year-old footprints still sunken into the windless lunar surface.

But does the Apollo 16 lunar module pilot have any desire to go back?
