We’ve reached a critical point in our country’s history. Congress has decided that they know what is best for you and your family.
As you know, on March 21, Congress passed one of the most damaging bills our country has ever seen. Government-run healthcare became a reality just two days later, when President Barack Obama signed away a piece of our freedom with the stroke of a pen.
Now, lovers of freedom are all wondering what’s next. We’re regrouping, refocusing, and reorganizing.
What comes next? How do we fight this? It is easy to become demoralized and disheartened by the magnitude of the law and what is there to overturn. Activists, organizers and leaders are tired. We fought a hard fight. The reality is that this is when we need to come back even stronger.
Congress has ignored the people time and time again. You have shown up and raised your voices, and your words have fallen on deaf ears. They’re still not listening.
So we need to turn up the volume. Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, and Harry Reid think they’ve won. Prove to them that we aren’t going away that easily.
On April 15 — tax day — Americans in every state will gather to send the message one more time. November 2010 will be Judgment Day for the Democratic machine, and that begins now.
FreedomWorks and our partners will be hosting an event on the lawn of the
Washington Monument on April 15. If you can’t attend, there are hundreds of rallies across the country that you can attend to voice your opposition.
We have had a great year and done great things, and now, we need to do even better. Keep fighting, and don’t lose your faith in liberty.
America needs you.
