Last year was one of the deadliest years in Chicago’s history; this had nothing to do with the pandemic.
In 2021, over 1,000 people were killed; 927 of those deaths were gun related.
The total number of people shot was 4,100. The number of shooting victims who were children totalled 261.
Black victims made up 81% of those shot, Latinos 15%.
The youngest victim was a one-month-old baby boy, the oldest an 84-year-old man.
But Chicago isn’t alone. In 2021, 12-major cities hit all-time high homicide records.
An analysis by The National Desk (TND) discovered that out of the 15 deadliest cities in America, 11 of them were run by Democrats. And 12 of the cities had both Democratic mayors and Democratic district attorneys.
Think about that — an overwhelming majority of the most dangerous cities in America are controlled by the Democrats.
It pains this writer to say this, but it’s not by accident. This is deliberate.
Billionaire philanthropist George Soros for years, purportedly, has been financing the campaigns of Democratic district attorneys across the country who are anti-police and pro criminal.
Chicago district attorney Kim Foxx is one of those candidates, her record as Chicago’s top prosecutor aligns with liberal objectives: criminalize the police and victimize the criminals.
Soros has reportedly given two million dollars to a group backing Foxx’s election efforts.
Since 2016, Foxx’s office has dropped over 25,000 felony cases in Chicago — cases all involving murders and other serious crimes.
In 2019, she famously dropped the charges against actor Jussie Smollett who was later convicted of lying to police and making false reports that he was the victim of a hate crime.
In August of 2021, the Chicago Sun-Times published this story, "Over 1,000 Victims, 126 dead, Just 2 Convictions: 6 Years of Mass Shootings in Chicago."
And we wonder why crime is skyrocketing. The message being sent by Soros and his district attorneys like Kim Foxx is clear: we will not prosecute you.
And the data proves it.
The deliberate strategy by Foxx, Soros and others can’t be any more obvious:
- Defund the police
- Victimize the criminals and criminalize the police
- Eliminate cash bail for defenders
- And make our communities less safe
It’s no wonder that in 2021, 1,027 Chicago Police officers left their jobs.
And just three months into 2022, 420 officers.
At a time with crime rising, we need more police, not less to keep our communities safe.
But Foxx and Soros’ strategy doesn't seem to be about creating safer communities — it appears to be about creating chaotic communities.
It’s been said the only good Soros prosecutor is a defeated Soros prosecutor — because the only way we can rid our communities of pro-crime candidates is to defeat them on election day.
Until we can do that, our communities will remain a war zone.
