Running is the exercise that can be done anywhere, at any time. A lot of people talk a good game when it comes to running. Most of the time, you roll your eyes when your friend tries to get you to join her right? Well, it might be time to actually sit down and listen to her.

You don’t like running? Join the club. But there are so many benefits! One is that it improves your overall health.

You may be questioning why you’re doing this to yourself while you run, but you will also be able to clear your mind. Clearing your mind will make you a happier person.

Another benefit to running is that it strengthens your lungs. With having strong lungs leads to having a strong heart. Who wouldn’t want to strengthen their heart? After you get in the routine of regularly running, you’ll be able to breathe easy and know your heart appreciates it.

A third benefit to running is that it helps prevent high blood pressure. While running, your arteries expand and contract to keep up with your blood pumping. This helps keep your arteries fit and have the ability to keep your blood pressure low. Low blood pressure equals a happy life.

Running also builds your immune system by increasing your tolerance to germs. Who has time to be sick? I know I don’t. So, even when it is cold out, get out there and run!

You want to know what else is great about running? It helps you burn calories, When you’re at the bottom of that hill looking up, just remember all the calories you’re going to be burning. Your goal should be to be dripping in sweat.

Think about what your legs are going to look like after running all of those miles all the time. Imagine the feeling you’ll get when you slip into your favorite pair of jeans.

Don’t you just want to go for a run? I know I do after learning about all the incredible benefits it has for your health and well-being.
