Are you someone who has a busy schedule, but wants to be more physically active? Here are some simple tips to add some more fitness to your everyday life.

Start by doing short physical activities multiple times a day. You don’t have to set aside 30 minutes to get your fitness in all at once. Ten minutes here and 10 minutes there are just as effective.

Next is simple: Do things that are fun. Nobody is going to look forward to doing something they dread.

Along with doing things that are fun, doing them with a friend is even better. Having a support system will encourage you to engage in physical activities every day. It keeps your spirit and motivation up.

Also, try to do different things every week or month to shake up the routine to keep your interest high. It will also require you to us different muscles on your body, which will get better results.

One of the most affect tips is to wear a pedometer or a fitbit to keep track of your steps. Being able to monitor your activities and your movement every day will allow you to stay on top of your routine. Numbers are a great way to track your progress and set goals for yourself.

Any time there are stairs available, use them. You wouldn’t think that skipping the elevator and picking the stairs would make a difference, but it does. Using the stairs increases your heart rate just enough to get you moving and will help your body feel healthier.

Ready for more? Join a walking or biking club that meets at least once a week. That way, you’ll engage in something consistent with people you will get to know very quickly. If you have children, get them involved too! Why not spend time with your kids as well as doing something healthy.

When you’re on vacation, plan activities that keep you moving. Yes, vacation is time to relax, but that doesn’t mean you have to be lazy. Why not sign up for some sight seeing and tours? These activities will give you beautiful scenery as well as get you moving.

If you’re stuck in an office all day, get up once every hour and make a lap around the office. This will help you focus better while getting in those extra steps.

Do any of these tips seem difficult? No! You can easily add some or all of these into your daily routine to increase your physical activity.
