Holistic Approach to Treating Alzheimer's

David Brownstein, M.D. By Tuesday, 21 July 2020 04:03 PM EDT Current | Bio | Archive

A holistic approach to Alzheimer’s disease should include a thorough workup for nutritional and hormonal imbalances, as well as heavy metal toxicity.

Better results will be obtained if an underlying cause, such as vitamin B12 deficiency, is identified and treated.

The symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease can be significantly alleviated with a holistic approach, if it is treated at an early stage.

When it gets to a late stage, and brain volume has been significantly impacted, the results are not as good.

I have seen positive results in elderly patients with brain dysfunction by prescribing detoxification, nutritional supplementation, and rehydration.

Furthermore, a healthy diet with sufficient amounts of protein and fat is important for anyone suffering with dementia.

Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease are scary diagnoses. The best course of action is not to try reversing them once they’ve developed, but to avoid getting them in the first place.

Eating a healthy diet, avoiding heavy metals, detoxifying, and correcting nutritional deficiencies can help you do that.
