Need a little help staying hydrated? A new smart water bottle has been developed that may be just thing. Called HidrateMe, the bottle tracks your daily water consumption and glows when it's time to take a drink of water.
It is the latest in a growing line of personal monitoring health devices that measure everything from the air you breathe, to the steps you take daily, to your sleep, and overall fitness,
CNET.com reports.
The new water bottle is in the early stages of its Kickstater campaign and its developers have already raised nearly $200,000. It is made of BPA-free plastic, holds 24 ounces of water, and has a sensor inside that tracks how much you drink —transmitting that information to an app on your smartphone via Bluetooth.
If it's been a while since your last sip, the bottle will glow. HidrateMe is available to anyone who donates $45 to the Kickstarter campaign.
