Exercise Reduces Falls in Young and Old

Friday, 11 June 2010 08:36 AM

Two hours of exercise each week reduces the risk of falls in both young and old, says a new study. University of Pittsburgh researchers reviewed the data of 10,615 participants aged 20 to 87 and found that, in general, two hours of aerobic exercise weekly reduced the risk of falls. HealthDay reports that young people fell as much as seniors, mainly because they take part in more risky activities.
