Murdoch, Jobs Team Up for iNewspaper

Rupert Murdoch, head of News Corp, and Steve Jobs of Apple, are ramping-up a new digital newspaper to be called the Daily, according to a report by the U.K.'s Guardian.

The project is being touted as the world's first newspaper designed exclusively for computers such as Apple's iPad. The launch is sheduled for early next year. There will be no print or web editions. Apple engineers will dispatch the publication automatically to an iPad or any like device.

Releases tout the innovaton as shooting for "a tabloid sensibility with a broadsheet intelligence." The two want to drive the newspaper business beyond the realm of print.
