A U.S. grand jury on Tuesday indicted Galleon hedge fund founder Raj Rajaratnam and co-defendant Danielle Chiesi in an insider trading case involving employees of some of America's best-known companies.
The office of the U.S. Attorney in Manhattan could not immediately provide further details on the indictments in the probe that shook hedge funds when it was first announced October16.
Rajaratnam has denied the charges.
