President Donald Trump is on a "target mission" to reopen the economy that has been hobbled by the coronavirus pandemic, Kimberly Guilfoyle, national chair of the Trump Victory Finance Committee and a Trump re-election campaign senior adviser tells Newsmax TV.

"Look at the great value the American people are getting," she said. "This guy is tireless. And I tell you he doesn't even look any worse for the wear because he's invigorated by it."

Trump is on a "target mission" to make sure the American economy can reopen, she told host Greg Kelly. "He knows that we can't . . . take a knee to China ever again."

Trump has praised governors who have moved more quickly to reopen their economies, and pushed those who have not. Both he and members of his administration have said complete lockdowns can be harmful as well, causing depression and even suicides among the those who have lost jobs or businesses.

The economy was the president's top selling point as he headed into re-election in November with record-low jobless numbers that were wiped out by the pandemic and ensuing lockdown orders.

He hopes to see a turnaround as the so-called curve of COVID-19 cases appears to have flattened, at least for now.

Trump was right when he said the United States should not be exporting the American Dream to China, Guilfoyle said, adding he will be right again when "he's gonna build us back stronger and better than ever.

"He did it once before," she concluded. "Why do you want to put an amateur at the wheel like Joe Biden when you can choose a winner like Trump?"
