Detroit Wants to File Bankruptcy Plan by Year-End, Lawyer Says

A lawyer for Detroit said the city wants to file a bankruptcy plan by the end of the year.

It’s the city’s “hope and desire to file a plan by year-end, which is well in advance of your deadline,” the lawyer, David Heiman, told the bankruptcy judge today at a hearing in Detroit.
