The minority leader of the Senate doesn’t seem to remember that he is the minority leader for a reason, and that was because his party was defeated at the polls in 2016. On the floor of the Senate, looking over his glasses, Schumer demands that the president not make a nominee to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Kennedy until after the midterm elections.

The Democrats seem to forget what President Obama said about the outcome of his two elections: He said, “I won, get over it.” Mitch McConnell, the majority leader of the Senate, said about the president’s potential judicial nominees, “We will vote to confirm Justice Kennedy's successor this fall.”

Do you agree with me that Schumer was at the height of arrogance when he demanded that the Republicans stick to the rule that prevented Obama nominee Merrick Garland from ever getting a vote in committee? Schumer seems to have a lapse of memory; it does come with age because it was the sitting Vice President, Joe Biden, as reported by The New York Times in 2016, who said in 1992 that he thought then-President George H. W. Bush should wait until after the 1992 presidential election to appoint a justice to the court.

Another aging politician is the 78-year-old minority leader in the House, Nancy Pelosi. More and more people on the Left and the Right are questioning her competency. This questioning about her mental health has been going on for at least three years. If the Democrats do not retake the House in November, look for a raft of challengers going after her job. The problem Nancy has is that she is not in sync with the more left-leaning, ever increasing part of the Democratic Party.

What we are seeing is more than the dismantling of the Obama legacy. We are seeing the destruction of the liberal agenda dating from the last 40 years.

Now with a potential new Supreme Court Justice nominee, the Democrats are going to fight the wrong battle over the Kennedy replacement. I believe that President Trump may well appoint four judges to the Supreme Court, but that is part of another story.

According to Time, Trump has already appointed four times as many appeals court judges than Obama did in his first year in office. If I’m right and the president has three more appointees to the high court, should the Democrats go all out to try and stop Kennedy’s replacement, they will ultimately lose power in the midterm elections. They, in turn, will then offer only token resistance against future appointees.

The harder the Democrats tack to the left, more and more people will abandon that party.

Nancy was against the Trump tax bill that reinvigorated the economy, after which she called the money given back to the middle class as “crumbs.” Now she is saying that she wants the crumbs back, and if by the odd chance the Democrats take control of the Congress after November, she wants to raise your taxes and spend more at the government level. She truly has delusions of grandeur if she thinks the American people want to pay more in taxes, especially from those who have been disadvantaged for so many years and now have their own job and can pay their own way.

The anger we see and hear in the mainstream media about the personal attacks against public servants by members of the Democratic Party is not leading people to want to join the ranks of the Left. If I’m right, then the outcome of the November elections could seriously damage the very foundation of the Democratic Party.
