At a time when legislation has been introduced in Congress that would make malicious acts of animal cruelty a felony punishable by fine and/or imprisonment, Democrats are silent on the issue of infanticide and late term abortions of children — President Trump is not.

In his State of the Union address, he said he was going to ask Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late term abortion of children.

Why is this noteworthy?

Democrats are quietly celebrating the furor over Virginia Governor Ralph Northam’s racist medical school yearbook picture because it took attention away from his earlier comments justifying infanticide.

Because of the photo, he faced almost universal condemnation and requests from Democrats for him to resign.

This is quite a contrast to the silence from the same group and most of the media to his virtual endorsement of infanticide a few days before.

During a radio interview, he said that after an “infant” deemed nonviable is delivered, it would be kept comfortable, resuscitated and “a discussion would occur between the mother and physicians.”

In other words, they would determine whether the baby would be killed!

Then came the yearbook picture fiasco — Democrats were off the hook on the infanticide remarks!

For them, it appears to be easier to criticize and condemn racism than killing babies.

They also have been silent on New York State’s new abortion law that allows abortion until birth, for any reason.

While Democrats have been silent on these pro-infanticide proposals and comments, President Trump has not.

In his Address, he charged lawmakers in New York with having "cheered with delight" after passing the above legislation which he described as allowing a baby to be “ripped from the mother's womb moments before birth.”

He also accused Northam of "basically" saying that "he would execute a baby after birth."

If you think that’s bad, just look at Vermont.

It may enact a law that would have no limitations on abortions.

As outlined by Wesley Smith in National Review the law would mean:

  • "A healthy, viable baby could be killed at 8 months, thirty days gestation."
  • "Abortion could be delayed or done in a manner to permit organ harvesting."
  • "A fetus whose brain was sufficiently developed to experience pain could be torn slowly apart in the womb in the most agonizing manner."
  • "Allow sex-selection abortion."
  • "And, if it were ever possible to determine, termination to prevent a gay baby from being born."

All of this brings to mind Dr. Kermit Gosnell. He was the Philadelphia abortionist — whom I described in this space as the "black angel of Death" — who was convicted of three counts of first degree murder and sent to prison for life for stabbing infants to death after delivering them alive.

These states might welcome others like him with open arms.

Such pro-infanticide measures are not limited to states. Just this week, Senate Democrats blocked a Republican bill that would have required that babies surviving an abortion be kept alive and “immediately” sent to a hospital.

Senator Marco Rubio, R-FL., was right when he said:

“Senate Democrats, like their colleagues in Virginia and New York, seem to have no issue publicly supporting legal infanticide.”

Democrats — and all people of color — should be very cautious about endorsing proposals that mirror some of the gruesome practices of the infamous Nazi Auschwitz concentration death camp physician Dr. Joseph Mengele’s experiments with pregnant women and children.

The real disgrace in the abortion debate is how many black elected, political, and civil rights officials have turned a blind eye to the impact of abortion on their own people.

Like former president Obama, they have been coopted and are joined at the hip with the abortion lobby and Planned Parenthood. As I said in 2012, such ties are “dangerous to Black women.”

This is illustrated by fellow Newsmax Insider, Dr. Alveda King who writes in Townhall,: “Black women are significantly more likely to undergo an abortion than are women from any other racial demographic, resulting in the deaths of an estimated 19 million black babies since Roe v. Wade.”

There are other ramifications.

If Democrats supporting infanticide and late term abortion have their way, hospitals treating and caring for children with congenital deformities and conditions, such as the Shriners Hospital for Children, could have reduced caseloads in the future since such children could be terminated either in the womb or at birth.

Going into the 2020 presidential sweepstakes, Democrats have a choice:

They can, as Trump said, reaffirm the fundamental truth that “All children — born and unborn — are made in the holy image of God.”

Or, they can choose the Mengele option.
