The following is not an endorsement by Newsmax of any candidate or political party:

Very recently, this writer was having dinner with friends at Mar-a-Lago, former President Donald Trump's residence in Palm Beach, Florida.

The former president and his wife, former-first lady Melania Trump were at the very next table behind me, over my shoulder.

Someone at my table asked, "Bryan, who do you think the Jewish community will support in the primary, Donald or Ronald (Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla.) or someone else?"

With the former President just steps away from me, I replied by saying that I think the Jewish Republican community has an easy decision to make.

I used this analogy:

We can either pick someone who promised to build us the best house ever built done in record time and under budget or, we can pick someone who promises to build us that same amazing house but doesn't have the track record to build the house.

I think nine out of 10 people would pick the person who has already built us that house instead of picking the person who only promises to build the house.

That choice for this writer is clearly former President Donald J. Trump.

On the campaign trail, Mr. Trump made many promises to the Jewish and pro-Israel community.

Promises that many politicians have made to us for decades but never had the guts to follow through on; but not Trump, he followed through.

He made promises and he kept them.

So, let's recap some of those promises:

Trump declared he would stand shoulder to shoulder with the Jewish community in America, and globally.

During his visit to Israel as president he became the first sitting U.S. president to visit the Kotel. A message delivering on his pledge to stand with the Jewish community; one that send shockwaves throughout the world.

The optics of a sitting U.S. president praying at the Kotel with a kippah on his head were powerful.

Trump promised that he would improve our damaged relationship with Israel, and withdraw from the disastrous Obama-Biden-negotiated July 14, 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA); an accord more commonly known as the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Trump withdrew from that failed agreement, enacted crippling sanctions against Iran's regime in Tehran, financially bringing it to its knees.

Again, the president promised and delivered.

Trump swore to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.

He delivered there as well.

And the best part about this was that many countries followed President Trump's lead by officially recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

In addition to the campaign promises that he made and delivered on, he took other actions during his four years in the Oval Office that further illustrate his unwavering commitment to the Jewish community — and to Israel.

Trump recognized Israel’s sovereignty in the Golan Heights. A move that dealt a blow to Hezbollah – a U.S. designated foreign terrorist organization (FTO) in Southern Lebanon which is directly bankrolled by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Trump signed the bi-partisan Taylor Force Act, cutting off all U.S. foreign aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA).

Trump also signed an executive order, "Combatting Anti-Semitism," to address the rise of attacks against Jewish students on college campuses by applying Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act to protect Jews in America.

This was a bold decision, a step that no other president had ever taken before, at a time when Jewish students are under attack on college campuses!

Finally, it was Trump who brought the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kingdom of Bahrain to Washington D.C. to sign the truly historic Abraham Accords, a document effectively normalizing the relationship between Israel and these two Arab nations.

He took a major step forward for peace between Israelis and Arabs globally — and did so without any wars or placing American soldiers in harm’s way.

This means peace was achieved through strength. We’ve seen what such peace through strength produced.

Now, however, we're sadly witness to the complete opposite — as it unfolds on the world stage, under the weak leadership of President Joe Biden.

Case in point: China recently brokered a normalization agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran in Beijing.

This would never have happened on 45's watch.

So, from moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem to brokering the Nobel Peace Prize-deserving Abraham Accords, to bringing the world's leading sponsor of terrorism (the Islamic Republic of Iran) to its knees, the former commander in chief delivered for the Jewish and Pro-Israel community — time and time again.

That's why I am proud to be supporting the 45th, soon to be 47th president of the United States of America: Donald J. Trump.
