What could be clearer?
Apparently, Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, and his 13 anti-Constitution cohorts don’t understand this at all.
Like many in Washington, D.C., they fail to understand the Second Amendment.
The right to protect oneself and one's property is a right imbued by our Creator, not those who think they totally run our government.
Democrats?
To quote Tony Soprano, "Fuggetaboutit!"
Sen Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., run a tight ship.
These two have been in Congress so long they could care less about both God-given and constitutional rights.
Ask Sen. Cornyn, or or Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
Every single elected representative under the Capitol dome swore a solemn oath to America’s Founding document called, wait for it, the Constitution.
These four-thousand words changed the world, history, and individual freedom.
Today, these guaranteed rights are not even a priority when compared to political maneuvering in the swamp.
All who genuinely believe in the Second Amendment and in the Bible, make the political class wince at their Capitol Club cocktail parties. Wait a minute. Don’t these swamp-dwellers work for us? It's sadly naive to think so. These pros represent K Street lobbyists and special interests who will pound you with millions in slick advertising so that you keep sending them back.
Term limits anyone?
Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said, "We already have term limits, they are called elections."
How many of us still believe that in a world of mail-in ballots, zero identification, and other factors that citizens are actually selecting their leaders.
The biggest tell perhaps is when you’re in a party meeting where leadership selects candidates, affirming "it’s his turn or her turn."
This is the sort of garbage congressional charlatans sell.
One of the few bi-partisan thoughts Americans agree on is term limits. With more than $30 trillion in unsustainable debt and spending, no one believes that politicians who serve for 40-50 years are good for the advancement of the best-interests of America.
This writer would argue life-time pols in realioty threaten our liberty.
Case in point their cavalier attitude toward the Second Amendment.
So, why my alarm about new gun legislation in Congress? There are some alarming provisions identified in a recent press release from Gun Owners for America.
"The legislation would encourage backdoor universal background checks by redefining many private sellers as gun dealers, financially incentivize states to enact unconstitutional 'red flag' laws, and would allow for so-called 'enhanced background checks, which are arbitrary delays in transferring firearms to adults not yet 21 years old."

If you want to run for an office, then run. America always embraces its heroes and today those heroes are regular citizens stepping up to take governance into their own hands from school board to city council to state representative. I suspect that running as a pro-Second Amendment advocate in 2022, and beyond, may be an advantagev for an office-seeker after this.
We shodl look at just how things stand in America, right here and now:
Southern border lawlessness; the continued push to defund the police to a point where they can no longer protect citizens; violent crime on the rise in 2022. All of this follows on the heels of an unprecedented spike in murders.
And yet, D.C.'s ruling class wants you and I to relinquish our guns, forfeiting protection of ourselves, families, and properties.
The oath breakers aim to disarm law abiding Americans by upending "innocent until proven guilty," and other forms of due process. Meanwhile, back in Washington, the Capitol police are basking in a $2.1 billion emergency funding bill to beef up security of elected representatives.
Go ahead, whisper to the FBI that your neighbor has a temper and guns. The SWAT team will be right over to take the weapons. The poor sap who owned them can spend his life savings for a lawyer to restore his name and his guns.
Contrast the Stasi-style tell-on-your-neighbor tactics with the daily kill count in Chicago.
Citizens in the Windy City hellscape live at the mercy of thugs and its mayor — who by the way also enjoys 24/7 police protection. Year to date statistics for Chicago are 304 total homicides and 1,485 shot.
The best way to clean up the streets of Chicago is re-establishing the Second Amendment so its citizens can be armed.
Remember politicians were never meant to rule in perpetuity, only our Constitution and Bill of Rights were.
Perhaps a majority of Americans would say we would thrive if our Constitution were protected, and politicians and their staffs weren't permanent.
It is time to reiterate that Washington, D.C. is irrevocably broken.
It is no longer about "R’s,"and “D’s," rather, it concerns We the People vs. the D.C. ruling class.
Voting is just one aspect of our citizenship, albeit an important one. The Gang of 14 does not care about how you defend your family from tyranny or armed intruders.
Contrary to legend, bringing a knife to a gun fight is not practical, nor safe. But the woman from West Virginia armed with a pistol who kills a man firing at a graduation party and prevents a mass shooting is acting upon the highest civic duty exactly how the Constitution and our Founders intended.
There is no greater fight than to protect our Second Amendment rights. After all, they are the reason we are able to protect the other ones. Let’s restore our liberty.
