Future Pivots on Stifling Obama in 2010 Midterms

By    |   Tuesday, 06 October 2009 09:54 AM EDT

If I had to sum up the current situation of the United States, I would not hesitate to call it horrendous for only one reason: the presidency and the arrogant fool now occupying that office.

Even the most dispassionate observer has to conclude that the election of an untested, inexperienced ward heeler of one of the most corrupt political machines in the United States is proving to be one of the most massive mistakes the American electorate ever made. The man is totally unfit to occupy the presidency of the world's most powerful nation.

As Steve McCann has put it so eloquently in the American Thinker: "Barack Obama has been the number one topic of conversation among many of my friends and associates in London. His incompetence, narcissism and danger to the interests of the United States and its allies in Europe are startling people."

They really shouldn't. The man's sole experience before winning the presidency was as a so-called "community organizer," whatever the hell that is. He was serving a single term in the Illinois Legislature when the American electorate tossed caution to the wind and voted for a media star famed not for what he was but for what a worshipful star-struck media wanted us to believe he is.

Unfortunately, the electorate has to wait three more years until 2012 to do it.

The sole promising spot in the near future — the only opportunity for the voters to put a road block in the path of Obama's drive to create the Socialist Republic of the United States will be next year's congressional elections when the entire membership of the U.S. House and a third of the Senate's membership will be up for re-election.

Should the electorate choose, a GOP-controlled House alone could stop Obama's relentless march. That, fellow Americans, is job one. We've got to get it done. If you are in one of those 60-odd nominally Republican congressional districts that sent a Democrat riding into Congress on Obama's coattails, you need to do everything it takes to send him or her packing next year.

As lawyers like to say, you have been warned: Your future and the futures of generations of Americans to come depends on what you do in November 2010. The massive mistake must be undone.

Faugh 'a ballagh! (Clear the way!)
