An interview with one of America's top conservative fighters, who battles unwaveringly for American values. Reader Alert: At the end of this column is one of the best political stories I’ve ever heard. Please wait for it.

"The most disturbing trend that’s been underreported is that the 18-29 age group voted for the left."  Scott Walker (1967- )

Former Wisconsin Governor (2011-2019) Scott Walker has made a big change in his life.

He’s gone from the lion’s den of government public service to working with kids to show them the finest political way to run their lives.

We all know what a fatally corrupt education system has been doing to our children; if we’ve been paying proper attention.

A public school system cratering for decades, greedy teachers’ unions tearing down the blessed work of the few and fewer solid teachers, and a Marxist American government using our schools to pervert the voters and workers of the future are all patently obvious.

Walker comes straight from a solid Christian conservative background.

His father "Llew" was a Baptist minister and Scott was an Eagle Scout who met and was photographed with President Reagan when he was in high school.

Meeting "The Gipper" stimulated Walker’s keen interest in government public service.

Scott Walker’s term as governor was as tumultuous, almost, as President Donald Trump’s presidency. Society’s rejects, really Occupy Wall Street-type anarchists who didn’t know what they were protesting (Pelosi called them "unionists"), stormed the state capitol in Madison and remained camped out there for days.

Almost as soon as being sworn in, Walker started with the crucial work of balancing the Wisconsin budget.

First move: get the unions out of every pie their corrupt fingers were contaminating.

His "Wisconsin Budget Repair Bill" addressed the Stalinist collective bargaining scam and passed within several months of his taking office, then got hung up by mindless Democrats for three full years in the courts.

Rapidly following, the lunatic left somehow got a recall election in 2012 based on Walker’s sensible efforts to straighten out the Wisconsin economy ruined by Democratic Party rule for years.

Walker won handily giving himself a strong mandate.

Like Trump, Democrats were playing mind games with the people’s choice from the beginning, and in a lot of ways, this was the precursor to the constant harassment of Trump with legal challenges, media smearing, and dumb protests which became violent.

Walker ran down a very similar path to former U.S. Congressman Dave Brat.

Brat left the D.C. swamp to become dean of the Liberty University School of Business, so he could be and work with young conservatives.

Walker left the governorship of Wisconsin to work with young conservatives and ignite the conversion of liberal/independent kids to switch-over to the Young America’s Foundation (YAF).

Both are presumably much happier.

"You can see the unbelievable bias of the kids in their voting," Governor Walker told me, clearly worried. "It’s gone way past 'cancel culture;' they’ve accepted really radical ideas like abortion, gun control, and climate change."

"I’m an optimist," Walker continued," "but all they’re hearing in school at young ages is brainwashing them."

"If we at YAF can break through, we can change the country. We have to fight the battles of the day but shouldn’t sacrifice the long-term game plan.

"They (Dems) moved through the teacher’s unions and have grabbed our children. The Social media indoctrination of our children needs to be countered."

How did you make the jump from the Wisconsin statehouse to YAF?

"What worked out beautifully was Ron Robinson, the founder of YAF (in 1969) approached me and my wife and I wanted to do it. I love it. I’m inspired every time I’m at a conference at The Reagan Ranch with these kids  . . .  I’m inspired by them every day."

"We train a group of kids to fight for American values.

"They fight for free speech — giving everybody the chance to be heard. We have campus lectures, monthly events at Reagan Ranch and live-streaming of our own events with mostly Q&A so the kids can ask questions.

"We’ve had Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles and Katie Pavelich recently among others and our social media numbers are 875,000 subscribers with 363 million views on YouTube," Walker told me proudly.

"Two years before I was President of YAF," Walker began his grand finale story, "they invited me to speak at university campuses around the US. When I spoke at Stanford, I asked the three kid-promoters who had arranged for me to be there, 'how they became conservatives?' The first two said 'because our parents were conservatives.'"

That, I said was to be expected — Walker agreed.

"The third kid said 'both of my parents were Democrats.'"

Walker speedily asked, "How does that happen?" The kid replied, "Well, I was flipping through the radio and found Rush."

That was serendipity enough.

But the kicker was that the kid then says, "I’m Susan Rice’s son!"

For me, the writer, this brought the house down.

"Monsieur, my son is 22 years old. If he had not become a Communist at 22, I would have disowned him. If he is still a Communist at 30, I will do it then."- Georges Clemenceau (1841-1929)
