Be Grateful Even When Life Storms Around You

Ben Stein's DREEMZ By Thursday, 04 December 2014 11:37 AM Current | Bio | Archive

I think it’s illegal to start screaming provocative words at someone out of the blue. I was very glad that I was not armed because I could imagine the temptation to shoot when scared.

I have to fight to remind myself to be grateful. That’s how stupid I am. I have everything but I am still too stupid and selfish to be grateful when something I desperately need comes along, so says Ben Stein in The American Spectator.

Ben Stein is a writer, actor, and lawyer, who served as a speechwriter in the Nixon administration as the Watergate scandal unfolded. He began his unlikely road to stardom when director John Hughes cast him as the numbingly dull economics teacher in the urban comedy, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
