There were three high notes on the last day.  The show stopper who stole the hearts of the delegates was the celestial voice of 5-year-old Heavenly Joy for her rendition of "Let There Be Peace on Earth," and "America the Beautiful."

Ivanka Trump made a few cringe when she noted her record as an unaffiliated voter. That said, this highlighted the need for outreach to bring us to our goal of one America. Ivanka also focused on women and children as had potential first lady Melania Trump.

Though a bit long and passionate, Donald John Trump graciously accepted the 2016 Republican Party presidential nomination. It was quite clear that the target of his wrath is inefficiency, lawlessness, unfairness, and unconstitutionality.

Bullet by bullet he explained the importance of immigration, tax reform, economic growth and his other positions for America's safety and well-being which are his only litmus tests.

It is clear that Ted Cruz's position did much to unify the party making clear that Trump is our man and should be the nation's next president.

Dr. Ada M. Fisher was the first black woman to serve as the Republican National Committeewoman.
